Mandy Coe

Mandy Coe is an award-winning poet whose work for adults and children has appeared on BBC television and radio (CBeebies and Woman's Hour). Mandy is a Hawthornden Fellow.

Mandy runs poetry projects alongside organisations such as Liverpool Tate, The Festival Hall and The Barbican. A selector for the Children's Poetry Bookshelf, she was a judge for the CPB National Poetry Competition. She has designed activity sheets for both the 2008 Children's Bookweek Pack and for the Children's Laureate's website. Her work with children and teachers has been featured in the TES.

Creative Writing Workshop with Mandy Coe at No. 1 The Royal Crescent Bath Tuesday 26th January from 4.30 – 6pm

Set in the kitchen of the magnificently restored Georgian town, this poetry inset will:

• Explore the potential of location to stimulate individual and group writing for children and young people (primary and secondary).

• Look at how contemporary poetry can be used as a model/frame  to stimulate new writing.

• Provide worksheets and resources for teachers to develop poetry activities in the classroom
