Our new look writing project this year offered children and young people an opportunity to develop and showcase their writing skills. As part of our Olympic Ideal strand, we asked children and young people to fire up their imaginations and create a contemporary re-working of Aesop’s Fables.
Four schools took part in the project and we have over 100 new fables for you to enjoy. You can find poster boards in our festival venues and around central Bath which will take you to audio readings of 15 fables and written versions of all the others. We hope you enjoy some of the thought-provoking and humourous fables created by the children and young people who took part in the project. The Arctic Wolf and the Mantis by Malachi and KlajdiBff’s by Natalia and AliceThe Lion and the Mouse by JadeThe Ferret and the Cat by IndiaThe Pig and the Crocodile by RebekkaThe Leopard and the Owl by SofiaThe Lynx and the Alligator by TallulahThe Hippo and the Snake by Madison The Rat and the Owl by Llewy The Shark and the Parrot Fish by CurtisThe Owl and the Sloth by Freya The Duck and the Sloth by Zak The Badger and the Turkey by Isabel The Penguin and the Cat by Laura The Mouse and the Butterfly by AnnieThe Toad and the Rabbit by Emily The Mammoth and the Tiger by JackThe Aye Aye and the Cheetah by Zac
